- 1.000.000 ha (about 45% of the total area)
- 260 settlements
- 1. 200.000 inhabitants
- 3.840 km of roads and 150 km of railway
- 800 industrial plants
PROTECTION AGAINST TRANSIT WATERS IN VOJVODINA
Total length of levees is 1.l361, 84 km. Out of which:
Danube 26%
Tisza 24%
Sava 9%
Tamis 7%
Stari and Plovni Begej 12%
Others 22%.
Sections in need of reconstruction due to insufficient height of the levees account for 193,4 km ( 14 km of total length).
About 110 km sites are in need of reconstruction due to leaks or bank erosion.
