Nearly 50 mln dinars worth reconstruction of 4 kilometers of embankment on the Tisza River in the section between Senta and Ada was completed this week. Existing high terrain without a real embankment in that section of the Tisza flood defense was reinforced and superelevation was carried out. Reconstructed embankment will ensure safety of the flood embankment even in case of extremely high river stages since it is designed to withstand the so-called 100-year floods.
PWMC Vode Vojvodine was the investor while water management companies from Senta and Požarevac executed the works.
